Under 18 · Blue – Black Belt
Our advanced teen and kids classes take students from blue belt to black belt — with the character to match.
At Bozdag Taekwondo, our Kids Advanced classes are designed for students who have achieved Blue Belt and above and are progressing towards the final stages before entering the Black Belt level.
This is a significant stage in a student’s Taekwondo journey. With a strong foundation already developed through the Beginners and Intermediate levels, students will now be introduced to more advanced techniques, combinations, and training methods.
At this level, we focus on developing faster, stronger, and more powerful kicking techniques, as well as advanced combinations involving both kicks and hand techniques. Students will work on combination drills, speed, power, accuracy, timing, movement, reaction, and overall physical conditioning.
Training becomes more challenging and focused as students prepare for the higher demands of Taekwondo and the journey towards Black Belt. Students are expected to demonstrate greater discipline, concentration, technical ability, fitness, and commitment.
Students at the Advanced Level also have the opportunity to take additional specialist training sessions in either Elite Poomsae or Elite Sparring. These extra sessions are designed for students who wish to develop their skills further and potentially prepare for national and international competition.
To progress through the grading system, students must successfully complete the required grading in accordance with British Taekwondo regulations and requirements.
Our goal at the Advanced Level is to develop highly skilled, fast, powerful, and confident Taekwondo practitioners while preparing students for the final stages of their journey towards Black Belt and, for those who choose it, competitive Taekwondo.
Advanced classes (blue belt to black belt, 4th Kup–1st Dan) are grouped by age — under 10s, under 12s, and under 18s — so every student trains with the right peers. Sessions combine pad work, technical sparring, and grading practice, with continued emphasis on positive mental attitude, respect, discipline, compassion, teamwork, and social skills.
